Job Description

We are seeking a Tax Clerk to join our Cy-Fair Tax office team. This person will be joining the tax organization that consists of 8 team members. This role provides professional and courteous assistance to taxpayers and the public in an effective, efficient, and productive manner while collecting and processing tax payments and fees. This is a very fast paced environment, especially during high peek tax season, therefore, a candidate with the ability to multitask, adaptability, great time management and resilience are fundamental skills needed to succeed in this position. Position Details:

  • Reports to: Assistant Director, Denise Shurbet
  • Type of Position: Full Time/Temp to hire
  • FLSA Status: Non- Exempt
  • Salary: $ 33,280/$16 per hour
  • Hours: Will fluctuate
    • Regular shift: Mon - Thurs. 7:30am -4:30pm with one hour lunch, Fridays - 7:30am -4:00pm with a 30 minute lunch
    • Tax peak season (summer) begins in June and ends at the end of July. Employees work 10 hr. shifts Mon-Thurs. with two paid 15-minute breaks and are off on Fridays.
